FF&E consultancy – tender support – project planning – product installation – project management
To assist the incumbent supplier and end-user evaluate, tender and purchase FF&E for several sector depots and administration offices.
The brief included the need for products suitable for agile working plus the integration of both blue and white collar staff in the same buildings.
The project sees three sector offices, plus smaller operational bases, being equipped. Based on the project brief the sector offices are designed for agile working, with personal storage being installed and shared workstations being used. Over 300 admin and management staff will use the office space in the sector offices with separate areas for operational staff which include drying and locker rooms, showers, canteen areas and touch-down points for internet access.
As a drive toward a paperless system the end-user chose to have minimal storage; each sector office has a specialist, central, archive storage area for existing records.
TeamFFE also provided a complete product installation and site management service. Their on-site teams installed all furniture and specialist fixed touch-down benches, liaised with the main contractor, supervised the mobile storage installers and completed final clean-down with handover.
Chelmsford is the second sector office to be completed in this on-going project.
