FF&E cost and supplier overview – Provision of ‘best supplier’ lists – Completion of cost spreadsheets for inclusion in main contractor bid
The client had a very clear brief; they needed to get to ‘near-cost’ certainty on a wide range of FF&E for a major PFI education project and had very little experience, time or resource within their team to do so. Individual item costs were needed covering a wide range of product types – these included the obvious such as furniture and fixed equipment plus some fairly unique items such as an aircraft fuselage interior training module (with tannoy and emergency lighting systems) and a full radio station. Best-fit, design and cost of items were of paramount importance along with a need to remove unnecessary links, and thus cost, in the supply chain.
Appointed at a very late stage in the bid process TeamFFE were able to immediately integrate with the main client bid team to provide robust cost returns. Due to circumstances beyond their control the client could only give TeamFFE a few days to complete and return fully priced FF&E spreadsheets, these needing to include comprehensive details of suitable products, suggested suppliers and costs.
TeamFFE were able to work to the very tight return schedules and the requirement to react to on-going updates in spreadsheets before final return.
TeamFFE were able to supply all information and meet return dates within demanding timescales, thus enabling the client to return full and complete FF&E costs within their overall project tender submission.
TeamFFE Limited look forward to working with the client on this and other major projects, providing a complete FF&E consultancy solution.
